Cold Applied Plastic (CAP) or Thermoplastic: 3–5 years (high-performance option for roads and heavy-duty applications)

Surface Preparation

To achieve maximum adhesion and durability, every project begins with thorough surface preparation. The required process depends on the condition and material of the substrate, but typically includes:

Cleaning: Removal of dirt, dust, oil, grease, and other contaminants using high-pressure washing, degreasers, or industrial sweepers.

Surface Drying: Ensuring the surface is completely dry before application to avoid poor adhesion.

Grinding or Shot Blasting (as needed): Mechanical abrasion to remove old or failing markings and open up the surface for better material bonding—especially on smooth or sealed concrete.

Crack Filling & Patching: Repairing surface defects to ensure a smooth and even application.

Priming: In some cases, a primer may be applied to enhance bonding, particularly on polished concrete or other low-porosity surfaces.
